One goal of the Community Development Department is to continue the revitalization of Covington’s neighborhoods, the building blocks of our City. We believe the City of Covington’s neighborhoods should be attractive, diverse and safe places to work, shop and enjoy life. Toward this goal, the Community Development Department helps individuals and families purchase homes, rehabilitate existing homes, build new homes, remove dilapidated/vacant buildings and secure affordable housing with funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
